Photo Gallery 2009
Our season 2009 was a bit more adventurous than the previous years, as we varied our cruising areas quite a lot. Our main cruising ground as always was the Ionian Islands, but we cruised for a few weeks in the Aegean both in the beginning and at the end of the season.
In order to get from the one sailing area to the other, we sailed through the Gulf of Corinth and the Corinthian Canal, but also around the wild and unexplored coastline of the southern Peloponnese. Thousands of nice photos taken during those 7 months, which made the task of choosing only a small number of them for the photo gallery, really difficult!

The beauty of the Greek seas is that the winds are ideal for sailing. Typically a pleasant sea breeze is blowing, so whether you like taking part in sailing the yacht
or just lying on the deck enjoying a cold drink and the sunshine, there is something for everyone.
Anchored in a bay... (140 photos)
Every morning, after a short sail from the village we spent the previous night, we drop anchor in one of the numerous deserted bays. Crystal clear turquoise waters, swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing
or just floating around! It is always a surprise for our guests, how buoyant they are in the Greek seas. The secret? The Mediterranean is a lot more salty than other seas!!!

We have lost count of how many times we visited each village around the Greek Islands! Before starting our cruises in 2004, we were afraid that we may get a bit bored of them after a while, however every time we drop anchor in the evening, we just feel the same excitement!
They are just amazing! Beautiful architecture, friendly locals, easy-going atmosphere, wonderful scenery. Whether you go for a walk around the village, or enjoy a cold drink on the seafront watching the yachts moor for the evening, you will fall in love with each place!!!

Greece is a paradise for lovers of archaeology and although not all of the sites are by the sea, some of our guests have made the effort to travel a few kilometers inland to visit them.
Corinthian canal... (23 photos)
In the last years we ended up crossing the Corinthian canal
quite a few times and it is something we always look forward to. It is just amazing that someone dug and removed 15 million cubic meters of rock in order to connect two seas!!! The result is spectacular!

Greek countryside is very wild, rocky and mountainous, with most areas having been formed after volcanic eruptions.
The result is a big number of caves, some quite famous with easy access from the land, others only accessible by the sea.
Dolphins... (24 photos)
Everyone has seen them on television, but rarely you have them playing only a couple of meters away from you. As you can imagine, when the shout 'DOLPHINS!' is heard, all cameras are out and everybody is running to the front of the yacht!!
Underwater... (52 photos)
It's a beautiful world under the surface and the Greek waters are so clear, that you don't really need to be a diver to experience it. Just a simple mask and snorkel, is all that you need.
Nighttime... (120 photos)
Whether you want to sit in a quite little taverna by the sea
with some tasty food and local wine, or have a few drinks in a bar and maybe a bit of dancing, nightlife at the islands has something for everyone! And as it all happens outside, your roof is always the starlit sky!
